The Metal Pill Crusher pulverizes medication to a powder form for easier consumption when an individual has difficulty swallowing pills, especially when pill is large. Always consult with your doctor before using a pill crusher as this may change the dosage or absorption rate. The Graham Field Pill Crusher, Metal is heavy-duty and is chrome plated to be corrosion-resistant and hold up to regular use.
This Pill Crusher has a flat base to sit on a counter. It is designed with an upper handle and a lower handle with ridges for easy finger placement that creates a firm grip. To use, lift the upper handle and place a 3/4 ounce Soufflé Paper Cup containing the medication. It is important to only us paper soufflé cups because plastic will leave plastic slivers behind which will contaminate the medication. When ready to crush the medication lower the handle and lightly squeeze the two handles together. The amount of handle pressure required to crush the pill will vary based on the hardness of the pill. Lift the top handle and remove the cup to add powdered medication to water, juice or food.
