The two pole free-standing single rail system is a portable system that dissemble with ease and transferred to a secondary location, if needed. The system is not required to be fixed to a ceiling or wall. If in temporary housing, a mobile home, or if lift and transfers are not needed for a long period of time, this is a good option. A freestanding lift offers flexibility and versatility. The freestanding lift is usually a 2-post frame system (they also come in 3-post or 4-post configurations), used in conjunction with either portable or semi-permanently mounted ceiling lift motors. The freestanding frame is often used as a temporary measure or where ceiling lift track installations are not possible due to structural issues or rental applications. Freestanding lift systems support a more effective transfer system than the traditional hoyer lift.
